There are houses — however, there are houses built because of a DREAM. This particular house, in the heart of Portaria, was realized out of such a DREAM.
Christos-Pavlos Tsοumis, with roots in Egypt and Lemnos, a distinguished economist at Olympic Air and a member of the Onassis Foundation’s Board of Directors, spent years searching for a home that carried the charm of another era. A home that was romantic and warm, surrounded by a large garden where nature could become part of everyday life.He wanted a place that would be more than simply a house, but a sanctuary. A space filled with tranquillity, beauty and that unique feeling found in homes with soul.
He found it in Portaria. He always called it “my romantic home.”
THE PROMISE
He loved it, cared for it, and gave every corner a piece of his dream.
He never created a family of his own, but he had people in his life who loved him deeply. So, his god daughter was given the special honour to keep and treasure his dream of this romantic house.
Because in the end, he wanted a place that would be more than simply a house, but a sanctuary. A space filled with tranquillity, beauty and that unique feeling found in homes with soul.
Today, keeping that promise, we have decided to give the house a new life.
Its doors are now open to people who wish to discover Pelion, wake up surrounded by nature, enjoy a slow coffee in the garden and create beautiful memories of their own.
Because, in the end, this was the most beautiful thing we could do with his dream.
Not to keep it only for ourselves. But to let it live on and for every person who walks through the doors of this house to become, even for a little while, part of its story.

Authenticity in Every Detail
The most distinctive elements can be found in the details.
In the intricately carved furniture, the treasured objects and the small touches found in every corner. Many of them carry something of Christos-Pavlos’ Egyptian heritage, evoking a distant place that remains deeply connected to his history and family. They are heirlooms passed down from generation to generation and preserved to this day with love and care. Objects that are not here simply to beautify the space, but to continue telling their own story.
